1An all-natural product will get absorbed into the skin very quickly but with a non-natural product you rub a long time, and all you do is moving the cream around till it starts to dry out, because our bodies know what is good and what is not. The body will store all the impurities as far away from the heart as possible, i.e. fingers knees etc. That is why people get Arthritis. ect

The most awesome aspect of essential oils is that they enter and leave the body with great efficiency, because they leave no toxins behind. The oils are excreted through urine, feces, perspiration and exhalation.

On average an essential oil contains one hundred components. (Terpens, alcohols, esters, aldehydes, ketones and phenol

The Skin

The skin, is the largest organ of the body, it covers an area of about 1.5 meters and weigh about 4 kg. It covers every inch of our bodies, keeping out cold, water, and undesirable organisms and substances, and keeping in heat, body fluids, and so on. It is the earth in which our hair and nails grow, and so the health of these three is intimately linked. Skin cells are rich in a substance called keratin which makes up the nails, and skin cells, like nails, can become brittle and flaky. It secretes sebum, a kind of waxy oil, which oils the hair. The sweat glands eliminate water soluble waste products. On exposure to ultra-violet light sterols in the skin are converted into vitamin D. (This is accompanied by an increase in pigmentation). It also acts as a sense organ, recording touch, pressure, pain, heat and cold.

Skin Types

Normal Skin

Normal skin is the type we all would love to own, a very rare treasure, as it appears smooth supple and soft with very clear pores free of debris, finely textured and resilient. For people shows skin has these qualities proper maintenance is just as important as for other skin types, in order to prevent deterioration and to make allowances for our harsh climate and environmental pollutants.

Oily Skin

An excess of sebum, an oily yellowish appearance, often large, dilated pores. Prone to acne and infection. The oil is most abundant where the sebaceous glands proliferate, which is the lower part of the nose, the chin, and the forehead.

Oily skin often shines with grease and looks thick and coarse, the pores appear enlarged and blackheads are prominent. This skin type often looks toneless and muddy. Although oily skin in some people nightmare it does have advantages as well. It is the slower skin type to age and wrinkles seem much less obvious.

Dry Skin

Most people fall into dry or combination sin categories. Dry skin feels very thin and delicate, showing very few pores in it at all. It feels parched and stretched tightly across the bones. Dry skin often shows myriads of tiny lines, especially around the eyes. These tiny lines will later turn into fully blown wrinkles if neglected. Flaky patches may appear on dry skin and therefore should never be clogged with soap or anything containing alcohol, as this will affect the pH balance or acid mantle

Dehydrated Skin

Lacking in water quickly wrinkled, drawn, often cold. Frequent in older people and those exposed to the severities of the weather. Related to an endocrine imbalance, an excess of thyroid and a lack of adrenal secretion. People with this type of skin are often thin and emaciate.

Fine Skin

Fine skin or sensitive skin, is normally very finely textured, prone to reddish veins and patches, and requires a light consistency cleaner, moisturizing and a soothing toner.

Combination Skin

Combination skin is usually mixture of two skin types. The centre patch is often inclined to be oily with dry surrounds.
